lovely cottage in charming village, excellent facilities and easy access to Chester. Welcoming Christmas decorations and thoughtful provisions. A coffee shop next door for breakfast. Enjoyed meals at local pubs and takeaway from village chippy. Well equipped with everything we needed. Couldn't ask for more during our summer holidays.

Garden: The garden at this lovely holiday home was like a peaceful oasis, where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. It was beautifully maintained and had a serene atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
Noisy traffic: The only downside I experienced during my stay was the slight inconvenience of morning traffic noise if I left the window open at night. However, this was a minor issue that didn't significantly affect my overall enjoyment of the accommodation.

The cottage was full of character and had an intriguing history. the kitchen was well equipped and the separate dining room had a spacious table. the living room was cozy with a small wood burning stove. the village where the cottage is located is delightful, with friendly locals, charming tea rooms, and three lovely pubs. Plus, there's a great butcher and a well-stocked Co-op nearby. the cottage also had thoughtful touches like fresh milk in the fridge and tea, coffee, sugar, and biscuits waiting for us.
The mattresses in the twin room were not very comfortable, as we could feel the springs when lying on our sides. if you leave the window open at night, there can be some noise from morning traffic.

Enjoyed the free WiFi while sipping tea in the comfy seating area. Had a thrilling time cycling nearby in this impressive 4-star cottage, conveniently close to Liverpool and Manchester airports.
Who needs a good night's sleep with those bumpy mattresses? Just a minor detail, dear.
